Well, my own kit is a Tama swingstar, vintage red:
Air Toms: 10´,12´,13´, Floor: 16´, single bass drum and of course a swinstar snare. Ortizo Cowbell.
Hardware: Mainly Gibraltar and Tama cymbal stands, Pedals: Dw 7000!.
Cymbals: 16´ Crash - Zildjian Edge, 15´ Crash - Sabian AAX Studio, 10´ Splash - Zildjian Edge and Hi-hats, Ride and Chinese all Sabian B8 + Maxtone Tambourine.
Drumsticks: Nova 5A and Promark Portnoy model.
Now, the kit i used to play was a real monster, a Tama rockstar and Pearl Export Hybrid. 3 rototoms, 4 air toms, 2 floor toms, 2 bass drums,2 snares, 2 hi hats, 5 crashes, ride, air chimes, jam block, cowbell and all the rest!. That beauty was my schools kit back in 04 when i Lived in New Zealand.

Definitively Mike Portnoy over any other drummer in the wolrd. But there is always good to mention: Danny Carey, Carter Beauford, Nick McBrain, Gene Hoglan and Joes Jordison.

Ive been in a couple of projects before, Including my first bands "Ancestral Krieger" (Heavy metal) and Taph (Nu metal). Even when my thing has always been play Prog Rock i have this new Kick ass project called "One Night Stand" (Nu metal/ Metal Core) made by some of the members of my old bands and some other guys.

Definetively the legendary Purple Monster, There is just nothing that can beat or even compare to taht kit.
