I, Rudy(August 28), started in 1986 together with initiator Wim Pols, Hans Steeds and Mijndert van der Beek, the Country Trail Band next to his other musical pursuits. The four had a mutual desire to express their ideals through ministry based performances.
In 1990 he decided to fully concentrate on his mission in the Country Trail Band and stopped his other musical pursuits (at that time the very successful Red Hot Dynamite Band).

Country Trail Band (1985-today), Calyx (1977-1980; 2002-today), Buckskin (1980-1985), Red Hot Dynamite Band (1985-1990).
I also play drums in my church (CAMA Evangelische gemeente Parousia Gouda, Netherlands) and I am one of the worship band leaders.

We like to be an instrument in the hands of our unchanging Lord Jesus (Hebr. 13:8) and we pray that our music and ministry may help people in making the most important choice in life.
We are aimed at communicating that important, live saving message through our music. This was the reason for setting up the Country Trail Band in 1986. Today nothing has changed that fundamental!
What all songs of the CTB have in common, is the clear, unchanging message in which God's son Jesus Christ is the center!
