CARLP'S DRUM SITE

[h1]Hello! My name is Carl Pettman.[/h1] I have recently returned to playing drums after a 25 year break. For the last 18 years I have been a professional entertainer and actor having played in the West End, appeared films, television, videos and magazine advertisements. I have performed hundreds of corporate and private functions for clients such as BP, Esso, Smith Kline Beecham, Bob Monkhouse, Sir Cliff Richard, Sting, Vodaphone, to name a few. Drums and drumming is very much a hobby and I play in bands for fun.

My current set up is a Premier Arits Maple Kit with UFiP cybals and Yamaha hardware. I use Protection Racket Cases. The drum sizes are 22" bass drum, 10", 12", 14" & 16" toms. All my cymbals are UFIP: 20” UFIP Bionic Series Ride, 20” UFIP Bionic Series China, 16” UFIP Bionic Series Crash, 17” UFIP Bionic Series Crash, 13” UFIP Bionic Series Hi Hats, 15” UFIP Natural Series Crash, 10” UFIP Natural Series Splash, 8” UFIP Class Series Splash, 9” UFIP Class Series Splash, 15” UFIP Class Series Crash, I don’t use all of them all the time!

Drumming Favourites are: Nigel Olson, Charlie Watts, Ray Cooper, Karl Brazil, Moonie, Vinnie Colaiuta (his drumming on Paul Anka's Rock Swings is stunning). Musical influences include: Elton John, Sting/The Police, Beatles, The Who, Supertramp, Thin Lizzy. My current favourites are Robbie Williams, Keane, Razorlight, The Zutons, The Feeling, The Oli Brown Band, The Eagles.
