I was the first drummer to graduate from the Jazz & Light Music Course at Leeds College of Music. After graduation I completed a post graduate teaching course at Hull University and became a qualified music teacher. Following this I taught in Humberside and North Yorkshire in the classroom and then as a peripatetic drum and percussion teacher.
I have managed to work continuously as a musician along side my other professional interests and have played at a huge variety of events in every kind of venue including TV, radio and recording studios, concert halls, theatres, function suites, exclusive private homes, hotels, circus and holiday centres. I have been lucky enough to perform with many star entertainers, leading actors and musicians at every kind of function from large corporate events to pub sessions.
Currently I play for theatre shows and in recent years I have gone back to small group jazz and big band styles and as well as playing as a 'dep' in covers/function bands.

I am about to change my Premier Genista Fusion Kit for both fusion and be bop sizes in the new Remo Gold Crown series. I have a variety of percussion instruments and a collection of K Zildjian cymbals.
