MICHAELCANFIELD'S DRUM SITE |
|
I'm an American drummer living in Africa. I've been playing for 50 years and have worked with musicians of every era from swing to today and every style from blues to speed metal. After attending Berklee College of Music I toured for almost 15 years before settling in New York City in the 80's. I've been living in Johannesburg, South Africa for the past ten years and have a new album called 'authenticity' with my band'Rhythm Section Africa'. Of the hundreds of recordings I've made, I can honestly say that this is the one of which I am most proud. |
I endorse Pacific Drums and Percussion kits and Sabian Cymbals. My current setup consists of 10X13, 10X8, 14X14 and 22X18 maple shells in PD&P's Emerald Fade. I use a variety of rides and crashes from my collection of Hand Hammered Sabians, depending on the gig. While I have (too) many snare drums, my favourite is a chrome, late 60's Ludwig Supraphonic 61/2X14. |
