I'm Mark Woodhouse, aka The Sticks Of Rock, but I don't use that nickname as it only raises expectations. In fact it was only because I was getting some customised sticks made & I wanted to give them a snappy name a la Chad Smith's Funk Blaster that I came up with it. Since then I've changed the stick size I use anyway so there you go.
I started playing way back somewhere in the last century because I couldn't play guitar & wasn't confident enough to sing. Fortunately I happened to have a modicum of ability on the drums so falling into playing them was a happy accident. I originally picked up the sticks on a Frankenstein Youth Club kit somwhere areound 1981, getting my first kit in 1984. With that much experience you'd expect me to be somewhat better than I am but my excuse is a 17 year "lay off" between 1988 & 2005 which perhaps dented my progress.

I've never been influenced by any drummers specifically, other that imagining I was Phil Rudd when I first started tapping on table tops at the age of 13.
Instead my influences have come from music such as Go West, Sigue Sigue Sputnik
