JONNY2692'S DRUM SITE

I am 13 years of age and have been playing the drums for 3 years now. I am currently taking my grade 6 Guildhall music exam having passed grade 4 with honours and deciding to skip grade 5. I enjoy listening to rock music and have a very talented tutor who happens to be in one of the rock bands my dad manages who, as well as being an amazing drummer also writes music and plays the guitar! I am also a keen skateboarder but I am not that experienced yet and I find it hard getting time to do it with all my drumming and home work. At the moment I go to St. Albans school in (you guessed it) St. Albans. It's near London for everyone who doesn't know where St. Albans is. They have very good musical facilities and I am trying to make use of them the best I can.

I currently have an Arbiter Flats kit. It's a great kit that's really portable and extremely easy to tune. It comes with: 10", 12", 14" Toms, 12" Snare, 20" Bass. Complete with 5 piece CB hardware and 13" Hi-Hats, 14" Crash, 18" Crash Ride. It is my first my kit and I really like it but I'm looking for something more durable in the future.

I would say that Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers) has definitely influenced me the most since I started playing. He plays with so much power and skill and one day I would like to be like him. My other influences have been Jon Bonham a great drummer in his time, Taylor Hawkins who gives so much to the Foo Fighters, Dave Grohl well what can I say what a great man and last but by no means least my great tutor himself Sam Evans who has really made a difference on my drumming.

Mike Dolbear DRUMSWell what a great website about drumming.
Thomas Lang A website with all the news about the great drummer and all his tips on practicing and such like.
Red Hot Chili PeppersA really good website about a really good band.

My band is called Fatal Consequence. We have written a few songs and we are doing ok.

I would love to get a double kick pedal as I think they're essential in modern drumming I would also love to get a Sonor kit like Thomas Lang's and one day I'd love to have an electronic kit.
