Drumworks is an independent drum tuition business run by Jonathan Swire. Jonathan has many years experience behind the kit and has a BA Honours Degree in Professional Musicianship specialising in drum tuition.

Jonathan currently teaches using a five piece Tama Rockstar acoustic drum kit with 12/13/16 toms, 22 bass drum and Pearl 14x6.5 Copper Free-Floating snare drum. Cymbals are exclusively Zildjian.
Roland TD6-KV electronic drums are also used in lessons.

Jonathan has been influenced by every drummer that he has ever heard, but is especially keen on Vinnie Colaiuta, Dennis Chambers, Dave Weckl, Danny Carey, Travis Barker, John Blackwell and Steve Gadd.

Jonathan currently plays in several functions and covers bands in addition to working with his currently unnamed originals band.

All students are welcome to Drumworks, from beginners to advanced players. Among the subjects taught at Drumworks are Stick Technique, Notation, Transcription, Theory and Sight Reading.
